Description
Title of the Invention A SAUNA WITH INFRARED RADIATION
Technical Field The present invention belongs to the area of baths, especially saunas, and in particular - the saunas heated with infrared radiation.
Background Art
A sauna with infrared radiation is known (see lλo>κeφ Koco «CayHbi. BaHM. MHφpaκa6ι/iHbi. CτponτenbcτBθ M o6opyflOBaHne», 3AO «M3Aaτeπbcκaa rpyππa KθHτeHτ», 2008 - Jozef Koso "Saunas. Baths. Infracabins.
Construction and Equipment", ZAO "Kontent" Publishing Group", 2008, pp.
14, 15).
The known sauna comprises a premise with wooden walls or wood- covered walls and floor, with benches, also with infrared radiation heaters installed in walls and/or floor and/or ceiling.
Such a sauna with infrared radiation is not sufficiently effective, because electromagnetic waves of the infrared radiation, penetrating into human body, generate a thermal effect only, but do not emit negative ions, which, together with the thermal effect of the infrared radiation, would make an additional positive effect on human organism.
Disclosure of Invention The purpose of the invention is to increase positive effect of the sauna on human organism. The purpose is achieved by installing inside the known sauna with infrared radiation, comprising a premise with wooden walls or wood-covered walls and floor, with benches, also with infrared radiation heaters installed in walls and/or floor, a hollow stand with infrared radiation heater inside it, while the interior of the stand walls, a part of sauna walls or all the sauna walls, a part of floor or entire floor, also the top of the benches, are covered with boards made of a heat-resistant transparent
material. The side of the boards oriented towards inside of the sauna premise is covered with a layer of amber or jadeite pieces, and the infrared radiation heaters located in the walls, in the floor, under the benches and in the stand are installed under or behind the said heat-resistant boards of a transparent material so that radiation from the heaters is directed towards respective boards of transparent material and, at the same time, towards the layer of amber or jadeite.
Next to the infrared radiation heaters, there are the illumination lamps directed towards the boards and, at the same time, towards the layer of amber or jadeite. The layer of amber or jadeite as put on the heat-resistant boards of transparent material covering sauna walls, stand walls and top of the benches is made by gluing pieces of this material onto the boards with heat-resistant silicone, and the layer of amber or jadeite located on the board of sauna floor consists of loosely spread polished pieces of the material.
The part of the said amber or jadeite layer on stand walls and sauna walls supporting back and shoulders of a user sitting on the bench can consist of black amber, containing residues of soil and algae.
Brief Description of Drawings
The invention is explained in drawings, where:
Fig. 1 shows schematic top view of the premise of sauna with infrared radiation;
Fig. 2 shows schematic front view of the sauna; Fig. 3 shows magnified top view of the stand.
Description of Embodiment
The sauna with infrared radiation comprises a premise with wooden or wood-covered walls 1 and floor 2. The sauna walls 1 can be made of blue cedar or blue Canadian pine wood, which is fragrant and preserves its heat resistant properties for a long time. Benches 3 shall be installed at the
walls 1 (Fig. 1 , 2).
In the middle of the sauna premise, there shall be a hollow stand 4. Walls 1 or a part of the walls 1 , preferably those parts of the walls 1 that support back and shoulders of a sitting person, the floor 2 or a part of the floor 2, and the top 5 of the benches 3 shall be covered with the heat-resistant boards 6 of transparent material, such as toughened glass. The side of the boards 6 faced into inside of the sauna premise is covered with a layer 7 of amber or jadeite pieces. Walls of the stand 4 shall be made of the boards 6 of the said heat-resistant transparent material (from the inside) and of the layer 7 of amber or jadeite pieces (from the outside).
In the floor 2, in the walls 1 and in the benches 3, also inside the stand 4, directly under (in the floor 2 and under the benches 3) or behind (in the walls and inside the stand 4) the boards 6 of the transparent heat-resistant material, on the supports 8 the infrared radiation heaters 9 shall be installed, with radiation directed towards respective boards 6 and, at the same time, towards the layer 7 of amber or jadeite. Next to the infrared radiation heaters 9, there shall be the illumination lamps 10, also oriented towards the said layer 7. Length of the electromagnetic waves of the infrared radiation heaters 9 shall be 2-25 microns. The layer 7 of amber or jadeite, made on transparent heat-resistant material boards 4, covering the sauna walls 1 , the stand walls 4 and the top of benches 3, shall be made by gluing pieces of amber or jadeite onto the board 6 using heat-resistant silicone, and the layer 7 of amber or jadeite on the board 6 of the sauna floor 2 shall consist of loosely spread polished pieces of the material. Thickness of the layer 7 shall be 3-5 cm. External layer 7 of the stand 4, the layer 7 of the parts of wall 1 supporting back and shoulders of a person sitting on the bench 3, also the layer 7 of the top 5 of the benches 3 can be made of the plates of black amber containing residues of soil and algae. Before starting to use the sauna, the infrared radiation heaters 9 and the illumination lamps 10 shall be turned on. A person shall sit or lie on the
bench 3 covered with black amber or jadeite. When sitting, the feet shall rest on the layer 7 of the polished pieces of amber or jadeite. When influenced by heat of infrared rays, the amber or jadeite emit pleasing yellowish or greenish light, emit pleasing odour and release negative ions. This secondary radiation of heat and light, when touching the human body, penetrates especially deeply, activating water molecules and thereby activating metabolism and improving supply of organism with oxygen. Due to the deep thermal effect of the radiation, sweating is stronger than in traditional saunas. Together with the sweat, numerous harmful substances accumulated in human body and molecules of fat are released. The pleasant sensations and relaxing and bio-stimulating effect results harmony between heat of the body and of the radiation. Increased concentration of negative (good) ions enriches the body with oxygen and improves tone of entire organism. The layer of loose material on the sauna floor performs the function of feet massage and makes a bio-stimulating effect.
The sauna can be used for therapy of such bodily disorders as blood circulatory disorders, gout, rheumatism, diseases of joints, disorders of spine functions, cellulitis etc. During one session (30 minutes) in the sauna with infrared radiation, the human organism burns 300-500 calories. This provides a good introduction to further health-improvement procedures - massages.
