Abstract

The invention relates to a method for producing a security film for security papers, valuable documents, data carriers or the like. According to the method, a thin electrically conductive layer is applied to a carrier film, and the thin layer is preferably structured by a printing process. Afterwards, the optionally structured thin layer is reinforced by the electrodeposition of a metal in order to form a low-resistance metal coating on the carrier film.
