Suture method
WO 2003001979 A3
Abstract
A method is provided for closing a wound in bodily tissue using a barbed suture (40). The pointed ends (50, 52) of the suture are inserted in the sides of the wound and pushed through the faces of the wound to exit points that are longitudinally spaced from one another. The two sides of the wound are brought together to a closed position along the portion of the suture in the tissue.
