Abstract

The pressure force of the two wound skin folds is adjustable. The gripper components (2) can be held in an individually adjustable position by tooth stop-type securement. The structural shape of the wound clamp in dimensions and form can be matched to the actual application conditions.

Description

The field of application of wound clips is medical Treatment of wounds on the surface of the body, as in Un cases, but also arise from surgical interventions. Wound clips for quick and easy closure of open cuts and tears are known and will be preferably in both human and accident care used in veterinary medicine. The well-known wound clips are only equipped with a tension spring that the Contact pressure of the two wound flaps causes. The contact pressure is thus given by design, not individually adjustable or adjustable. This construction is unfavorable also that the clamp lever is relatively high above the wound surface protrude and so the wound closure by the action of endanger outside. Also the patient's mobility so significantly affected.

The object of the invention is an easy-to-use wound to create brackets, which can be used without tools, individually adjustable and as flat as possible Design. The wound clip should be sterilized if possible and therefore reusable as often as you like. An essential one It is also a point of view to be as uniform as possible and carefully set contact pressure to achieve a optimal wound healing with minimal scarring to reach.

According to the invention, this object is achieved by a wound clip construction which has a rigid wound clip frame 1 , in which two vertically pivotable and linearly adjustable gripper elements 2 are installed. The gripper elements 2 are pivotally mounted approximately in their central part, their outer end serves as a finger rest 3 for the user. The opposite end of the finger form one or more claws 4 , which are inserted from above into the wound flap, swiveled downwards and then pushed together as far inwards until the optimal contact pressure of the two wound flaps is reached. The contact pressure is distributed evenly across the wound clamp width due to the relatively small claw spacing, so that the tissue is less stressed and, in contrast to other methods, especially the usual suturing technique, and tissue circulation is guaranteed. In order to prevent the two gripper elements 2 from sliding back, they are provided with latching teeth 5 which engage in corresponding tooth latches 6 on the wound clip frame 1 . In the case of larger wounds, several wound clips are used side by side. After healing, the wound clips can be removed by folding up the gripper elements 2 and can thus be reused several times.
