Bopp is Associate Professor of Library Administration, Emertius, University Library, University of Illinois of Urbana-Champaign. LINDA C. SMITH is Professor and Associate Dean, Graduate School of Library and Information Science, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. She received the Isadore Gilbert Mudge-R.R. Bowker Award for distinguished contribution to reference librarianship in 2000 and the Beta Phi Mu Award for distinguished service to education for librarianship in 2004.
