Tess Whitty is an English-Swedish translator and owner of Swedish Translation Services, which provides English-Swedish-English translation, localization, proofreading and editing services. She is an active member of the American Translators Association, Institute of Translation and Interpreting and Swedish Association of Professional Translators. During the past decade Tess has practiced and learned most of what you need to know to market your translation services and build a thriving freelance business. She holds a M.Sc. in Economics, specializing in International Marketing and languages, plus a M.A. in Business Communication and PR and spent many years in IT marketing before shifting to a career in translation. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge and experience in translation and marketing and does this through presentations, webinars, coaching and an award winning podcast called Marketing Tips for Translators.
