About the author (2010)

JULIA STEETS is Associate Director of the Global Public Policy Institute (GPPi), an independent non-profit think-tank in Berlin, Germany. Her research and consulting work focuses on international development, humanitarian assistance, accountability, public-private partnerships and monitoring and evaluation. Julia has taught at the universities of Bonn, Greifswald and Berlin and her recent publications include Humanitarian Assistance. Improving U.S.-European Cooperation (2009), Partnerships for Sustainable Development: On the Road to Implementation (2006), and Palästina (2001 and 2004).
