About the author (2007)

DIANA WYNNE JONES was the award-winning author of over forty novels for adults and children, among them Howl’s Moving Castle, which was turned into an Academy Award–nominated animated film by director Hayao Miyazaki. She won the Carnegie Commendation, the Boston Globe–Horn Book Award, the Guardian Children’s Fiction Prize, and the World Fantasy Award for Life Achievement. She died March 26th, 2011.
