About the author (2011)

Bertrand Russell was one of the founders of the highly-influential school of analytic philosophy. He produced significant works in mathematics, linguistics, and epistemology and is widely considered to be one of the 20th century's best logicians. He was awarded a Nobel Prize in 1950 for "his varied and significant writings in which he champions humanitarian ideals."
