In the most harrowing adventure yet in the Silverwing sequence, Griffin, a newborn Silverwing bat, is sucked down into a fissure after a terrible quake. Shade, Griffin's father, realizes that his son has been drawn into the Underworld, and embarks on a dangerous journey to find him.
